Seasoned musician Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) discovers-and falls in love with-struggling artist Ally (Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer – until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.

In addition to the film, we are delighted to be joined by talented musician Nate Collins.   Since leaving Balerno High School last summer, Nathan has been working and fundraising to prepare for a 4 month volunteering trip in Nepal and Sri Lanka to teach English and Music to young people.   Nathan will be joining us for a very special performance just prior to the main film.  He has composed the music and will be playing piano accompaniment to Charlie Chaplin’s 1914 classic American silent comedy “Mabel’s Married Life”   You are welcome to contribute to Nathan’s fundraising by donating on the night

Balerno Village Screen is a community cinema free to attend and funded by donations. We ask that you reserve a free ticket in advance (via the button above) to help us manage numbers.  We also ask that if you can no longer attend to cancel your ticket to allow someone else to see the film.
