Balerno Music Festival, September 2017, Sing Street

Sing Street screening 7:30pm on Saturday 30th September

Our films on Saturday 30th September have a musical theme and are being screened as part of the Balerno Music Festival.  

Our evening film is the delightful Sing Street, with pre film music and net proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The film is about a boy growing up in Dublin during the 1980s who escapes his strained family life by starting a band to impress the mysterious girl he likes.

Saturday 30th September

  • Sing Street CERT 12A – screening 7:30pm to 9:15pm, Ogston Hall, Balerno Eventbrite - Sing Street (doors open 30 minutes in advance)
Each year Balerno High School pupils select a charity to fundraise for. This year the pupils want to do all they can to support Teenage Cancer Trust, a wonderful charity that provides fantastic care for young people with cancer and their loved ones.  The net proceeds from your donations will be given to this charity.
Plus… we are delighted that Balerno High School pupil and super talented musician Nate Collins will be coming along to support the night by performing a few songs before the film begins.

 

Balerno Village Screen is a community cinema free to attend and funded by donations. From Autumn 2017 we are suggesting a minimum donation of £4. We ask that you reserve a free ticket in advance (via the button above) to help us manage numbers.  We also ask that if you can no longer attend to cancel your ticket to allow someone else to see the film.

Tickets are also available via the Mill Cafe or you can book and print your tickets at Balerno Library (staff are happy to help).
