Yet another great weekend of film in Balerno kicked off with the valentine special showing of When Harry Met Sally. A small but select audience gathered in the Ogston hall set out cabaret style for this classic movie.
Next up the kids showing of The Croods went down well. (Kids and parents note we are switching to Saturday afternoon matinees from now on).
Finally what seemed like the entire village turned up for Sunshine on Leith with added buskers and bonhomie. Our warm thanks go out to Gus Harrower and Vic Roderick for their efforts.

Friday 28th February
- The Woman in Black CERT 12A – screening at 7.30pm. This is a fundraiser for Balerno Children’s Gala. Booking details can be found on the gala website.
Saturday 1st March
- Salmon Fishing in the Yemen CERT 12A – This is a charity screening for ChildReach International – it is being organised independently of Balerno Village Screen and tickets can be reserved via this link. All enquiries should be made to Carol Lockhart carol@clockhart.com.
Coming next month
The next BVS cinema weekend is the 14/15 March when we will be bringing you Searching for Sugar Man, The Sandlot and Rush. We aim to make tickets available for these films at the start of March.
